Antique Edwardian hat pin in the form of a stylized butterfly which is set with a central faceted Amethyst stone. Mounted on a pivoting hinge. I cannot find any makers marks but am pretty sure this is a Charles Horner design ? Excellent condition. The original stainless steel pin is also interestingly marked near the tip 'pat 1879' pin measures 8" long and top is just under 1.5" x just under 1.5" Postage is included in the price.
