Antique Victorian Tobacco jar elephant monkey Ferdinand Gerbing German pottery

A really good antique German pottery tobacco jar or trinket pot in the form of an elephant with figure and a little monkey sits on top of the lid. There is a slight bit of wear to the base and not sure if there has been a bit of restoration on the lid but the monkey figure looks untouched, commensurate with age and mentioned for complete accuracy otherwise in very good all original condition.
