A beautiful large antique Victorian black Vauxhall glass cross pendant with sterling silver top mount and bale. 
The top is not marked but has been professionally assay tested as sterling silver. The Vauxhall glass is in very good condition with bevelled edges, the silver top was absolutely black with patination, I have given it a light clean but left some patination, there are also some little marks of wear commensurate with age seen under a strong loop, the number 40 and initials can be seen under a very strong loop, this usually indicates the jeweller who set the top and bale. 
A very nice all original piece of antique jewellery. 
Measuring 8 cm x 5 cm just the cross 10 cm long from the top of the bale to the bottom of the cross.
