A beautiful early 19th century half portrait painting of a lady with in a rich blue gown wearing her hair in ringlets with a beautiful shawl and jewellery to include pearls and a muff chian with a watch, very fashionable for the period. I can't see any signature but it may need taking out of the frame.  Some loss to the paper verso which would benefit from re backing, however, it reveals this charming original paper label for W Coggs, carver and gilder, looking glass and picture frame manufacturer of 125 Castle Street Reading London.  lack of backing paper commensurate with age and mentioned for complete accuracy otherwise in good all original condition.
